T+A PA 1100 E DAC + Integrated amplifier

All subassemblies of the PA 1100 E are identical to those of the PA 1000 E integrated amplifier and therefore have exactly the same acoustic performance and characteristics. The only difference is in the inputs: one of the balanced inputs of the PA 1000 E has been replaced by a digital input board. This board works completely autonomously from the rest of the machine, and separate voltages are fed to the digital and analogue sections. The board has its own microprocessor that takes full control of the digital inputs, filters and converter. For this reason, it has no influence whatsoever on the analogue signal processing and sound quality of the PA 1100 E. The high-quality Bluetooth® module enables music transfer from mobile devices in excellent aptX™ quality.

With the digital input board, many digital sources can be connected directly at very high quality, using coax or optical inputs. The USB-B input even makes it possible to play very high-resolution files from a PC or via Ethernet/USB bridges such as Roon or NAA, with data rates up to 384 kSps for PCM and up to DSD 256.

The high-quality Bluetooth module enables music transfer from mobile devices in excellent aptX™ quality, and the BT player can be controlled using the AVRCP protocol.

Another option is the additional installation of an HDMI board with two inputs and one output with Audio Return Channel for the television set. Sound output is in stereo only.

The digital data are converted into analogue signals by the modern 32-bit converter to very high quality and resolution standards. A further refinement for PCM data is two different sampling algorithms: one is a standard FIR filter, the other the Bezier sampling developed by T+A, which offers excellent timing and transient handling.

The PA 1100 E can be operated directly on the machine itself or with the FM 11 remote control supplied with the machine, in combination with the E 2000 IR receiver. The latter can be placed anywhere near the PA 1100 E and connected to the RC-In socket on the rear panel.
