The Musical Fidelity BPC 5 is a balanced power conditioner for one amplifier up to 800 W and for digital and analogue sources. A balanced, isolating toroidal transformer feeds four sockets in two isolated zones of 200 and 800 VA. This keeps digital sources separate from phono stages and turntables.

The BPC 5 is intended for a system with a single amplifier of up to 800 W and a number of sources. It has four sockets, divided over one zone of 200 VA and one zone of 800 VA, with a combined maximum of 5 A. The low-noise toroidal transformer has a core of grain-oriented silicon steel with no air gap. A resettable circuit breaker protects against overload, and an LED on the front shows the status of the mains voltage.
At the heart of every BPC is a balanced, isolating toroidal transformer that galvanically separates your equipment from the mains. An RFI filter suppresses high-frequency interference by more than 57 dB at 235 kHz and more than 40 dB up to 1 MHz. A series surge protector and a DC blocker absorb voltage spikes and block direct current on the mains from 2 V, and the BPC protects your equipment against overload, overvoltage and undervoltage.
The isolated zones make it possible to keep modern digital sources and devices with switch-mode power supplies separate from analogue sources such as phono stages and turntables, so that they do not interfere with each other. The aluminium front panel and steel chassis shield the electronics from interference. Available in black and silver.
