The Leema Hydra II is an intelligent, bridgeable stereo power amplifier with 148 W per channel into 8 ohms and 292 W into 4 ohms (in mono 392 W and 785 W). Dual-mono design with two toroidal transformers, a separate transformer for the control circuits and a very low output impedance; it is more flexible than its predecessor.

The Leema Hydra II is an intelligent, bridgeable stereo amplifier incorporating many developments pioneered in the Leema Reference monoblock, Altair IV. The Hydra II is remarkably more flexible than its predecessor. This technological chameleon can perform in a large number of roles, always creating a lifelike soundstage and preserving the presence, texture and timbre of the original performance.
Exceptional dynamic range, fine-detail resolution and remarkable clarity allow the Hydra II to deliver music with captivating energy, even when driving the most demanding modern audiophile loudspeakers. This exceptional design uses two huge toroidal power transformers: one for each channel, together with a separate transformer for the control circuits. The highly refined output stage has a very low output impedance. This, combined with high current capability, provides a firm grip and precise control of the loudspeakers, even at very high levels.
