Yamaha R-N803D DAC, Streamer and Receiver

With the Yamaha R-N803D, Yamaha set out to achieve the very best sound a network receiver can offer. To achieve this, circuits and parts of the very highest quality were designed and used, based on the legendary ToP-ART (Total Purity Audio Reproduction Technology) hi-fi concept.

Pure Direct mode allows the music signals to take the shortest possible circuit route, bypassing the buffer amplifier and the tone, loudness and balance controls to eliminate virtually any signal degradation, for the purest sound quality.

The R-N803 uses the well-known SABRE 9006AS 192 kHz / 24-bit DAC (from ESS Technology) to deliver superior S/N performance. Combined with Yamaha's original network module, the unit brings out all the sonic merits of high-resolution sound sources, effectively reproducing even the subtle atmosphere of concert halls and delicate expressive nuances in the sound.

This unit also uses advanced YPAO technology. This is the calibration system from the AV receivers and the very first automatic calibration technology to be used in hi-fi components. The R-N803D is also compatible with Yamaha's MusicCast wireless music system and offers the finest performance in every respect in terms of sound quality and functionality.

MusicCast uses a powerful wireless network to deliver music and audio enjoyment. It can stream digital music content from your smartphone, PC or NAS to other MusicCast devices in your home. It can also share music from external devices, such as a CD player or TV connected to the R-N803. Audio content from smartphones or tablets with a Bluetooth connection can also be streamed to MusicCast devices in multiple rooms.

The R-N803's extensive connections include dedicated phono input terminals, so that you can easily connect a turntable and enjoy music from your vinyl record collection.
