HEGEL V10 phono preamplifier
The Hegel V10 is a phono preamplifier for MM and MC with a two-part housing (power supply and amplifier separated), ultra-low-noise JFET input transistors, gold-plated RCA inputs and balanced XLR outputs. The MC loading resistance is adjustable between 33 and 550 ohms or set to 47 kohms; a subsonic filter can be switched on.

With its latest technology on board, the Hegel V10 pays tribute to 30 years of experience in Hegel amplifier design. The V10 is characterised by neutrality, dynamics and the reproduction of micro-information. The V10 was made to involve the listener in the music and let them enjoy all the information dug out of the groove of your precious vinyl collection.
The Hegel V10 was developed from the ground up with Hegel's own technology on board. The housing is divided in two: one part for the power supply and one part for the amplifier, with no interference possible between the two compartments. Gold-plated RCA connectors and balanced XLR outputs are standard. The input uses JFET transistors with ultra-low self-noise, necessary for amplifying the minute voltages from an MC cartridge. Where everyone else uses just one pair of transistors at the input, Hegel places them two by two in parallel for the best result. As a result, the input is completely silent and no current flows through the cartridge's coils. *The power supply is an analogue linear power supply, to keep noise to a minimum in the amplifiers equipped with bipolar transistors. The E-core transformer used sits in its own housing and is connected to the V10. For use with an MM cartridge, the load capacitance is adjustable between 100 and 467 pF. The load impedance for an MC cartridge is adjustable between 33 and 550 Ohm or set to 47 kOhm. For both MM and MC, the gain can be increased by 5, 10 or 12 dB. A subsonic filter eliminates disturbing noises from the turntable or a warped record.
