Hana SL Mono-MKII phono cartridge
The updated HANA SL MKII inherits the Alnico low-impedance generator of the Umami Blue and Red. It takes the shape of the cartridge body and the metal top from the ML series.
Affordable low-output MCs such as the SL Mono have long been appreciated by audiophiles and music lovers and are a perfect match for today's generation of high-gain phono preamplifiers.
Exceptional quality assured
HANA phono cartridges are made of delicate parts, carefully assembled by hand by skilled craftspeople and laboratory-tested at the Japanese factory. This ensures both very high reliability and durability, and many years of musical enjoyment.
HANA means “brilliant and gorgeous” in the Japanese language, “華” Moving coil cartridges by HANA, bestow the most “brilliant and gorgeous” analog sound for audiophiles and music lovers regardless of their budget.
Handmade in Japan
Origin of HANAIn 2015 I had the great fortune of meeting again Masao Okada-san, founder of Excel Sound, whom I had known for almost 40 years. With the renewed interest in LP playback, Okada-san developed the HANA line of moving coil cartridges for our exclusive export. We are privileged to be partners of Excel Sound, and without our long friendship HANA moving coil cartridges would never have been launched. The "brilliant and gorgeous" sound of HANA is now available worldwide to all music lovers, without an extreme financial burden on your equipment budget. Indeed, a HANA purchase lets you buy more of your favourite vinyl records — which is the real reason to buy a good phono cartridge in the first place!
