The Eversolo DMP-A8 is a versatile, reference-grade all-in-one network streamer, DAC, and preamplifier. Thanks to its proprietary EOS audio engine, the unit completely bypasses Android SRC restrictions, ensuring bit-perfect playback across all common formats and streaming services. The combination of flagship DAC chips, an analogue volume control, and a fully balanced architecture makes it the musical heart of your audio system.
High-grade DAC architecture and dual clocks
The digital-to-analogue conversion section employs AKM's flagship combination: the AK4191EQ digital modulator and the AK4499EX DAC chip. This strict separation of digital processing and analogue conversion minimises interference and noise.
Two ultra-low phase-noise femtosecond clocks at 45.1584 MHz and 49.152 MHz control sampling rate multiples of 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz respectively. As a result, jitter is suppressed exceptionally well, delivering precise reconstruction of the original audio signal with ultra-high dynamic range.
Fully balanced preamplifier with R2R volume control
The preamplifier stage is fully balanced, built with discrete components, and offers an analogue gain of +10 dB. Both XLR and RCA inputs are processed purely in the analogue domain.
Volume control is handled by a passive R2R network using precision resistors and relays. This prevents signal distortion and noise at low listening levels, while automatic volume protection prevents sudden level jumps upon power-up or input switching.
Dual power supplies and low-resonance construction
To eliminate crosstalk between digital circuits and sensitive audio paths, the DMP-A8 incorporates two separate power supplies. A multi-winding toroidal transformer exclusively powers the analogue audio section, while a low-noise switching supply drives system processing and digital circuitry.
The solid chassis is crafted from CNC-machined aviation aluminium with a brushed front panel and a matte anodised finish that effectively shields against electromagnetic interference.
Streaming, DSP, and wireless connectivity
The DMP-A8 supports music services such as TIDAL, Qobuz, HIGHRESAUDIO, Amazon Music, and Deezer, alongside Tidal Connect, DLNA, and AirPlay. Thanks to the robust DSP processor, you can apply tone controls, parametric EQ (PEQ), FIR filtering, and delay to PCM signals up to 192 kHz.
Wireless streaming is provided by the Qualcomm QCC5125 Bluetooth 5.0 module supporting SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX LL, aptX HD, and LDAC. Network integration is seamless via Gigabit Ethernet or dual-band Wi-Fi.
Control, storage, and CD playback
The vibrant 6-inch LCD touchscreen provides direct access to music libraries, source selection, and custom dynamic VU meters. Control is also available via the dedicated iOS and Android app or the supplied Bluetooth and infrared remote control.
An M.2 NVMe SSD slot underneath supports internal storage expansion up to 4 TB. Additionally, an external USB optical drive can be connected to play CDs directly or rip them bit-perfectly with complete metadata matching.
