Audio Physic Classic 3 Monitor loudspeaker
The Audio Physic Classic 3 is a bookshelf loudspeaker with a silk-dome tweeter in a small horn-shaped recess, for a wide and accurate soundstage even outside the sweet spot. It has a point-to-point wired crossover with audiophile components and the slimmest possible baffle. Frequency range 45 Hz to 30 kHz, about 7 kg.
Full description
The tweeter excels with a silk dome and sits in a small horn-shaped recess that subtly adjusts the sound radiation around the crossover frequency between mid and high frequencies. This keeps the spatial image wide, balanced and accurate, even when the listener is slightly outside the so-called sweet spot. The crossover network of the Classic 3 is also designed without compromise — like the Classic 8, it uses a hard-wired crossover network with audiophile components instead of the inferior circuit-board design more common in a loudspeaker of this size and price.
The build quality is also what you would expect from an Audio Physic loudspeaker, with a solid cabinet built to the highest standards of craftsmanship. The baffle is kept as slim as possible, which reduces the visual impact of the bookshelf loudspeaker and, more importantly, minimises unwanted reflection and diffraction problems around the drivers.
Depending on how and where you want to use your Classic 3, we highly recommend our optional Vibration Control Feet, the Audio Physic VCF II PLUS COMPONENT. These feet protect delicate surfaces and decouple the loudspeaker from the floor or furniture, taking sound performance to a whole new level.
The Classic 3 may be our smallest loudspeaker, but it is absolutely a true Audio Physic loudspeaker, with the sound and build quality hi-fi fans all over the world expect from us. Ask for a demonstration — and be prepared to be amazed!
