The V5 Corvus is a compact power-cleaning and distribution busbar just 380mm long, 170mm wide and 50mm high. It has two independent outlets, each feeding back to the central PCB. Most power filters of this type connect the outlets to each other in series. This is not correct, however, because differential-mode noise caused by the connected electronics jumps from one outlet to another. The electrical architecture and design of the V5 Gemini prevent this and are therefore unrivalled.

The V5 Corvus has a unique delta filter topology, ten times larger than the recommended standard. It offers more than 20dB of cleaning power at 1kHz (600 Ohm reference), rising to 42dB at 10kHz. Most experts agree that 10 kHz is the point where radio-frequency interference (RFI) starts to affect performance. The extent to which an amplifier manages to reject noise from the power supply also plays a role here.

The electrical design of the V5 Gemini guarantees leading performance in mains cleaning, for both common-mode (RFI) and differential-mode mains noise. In addition, the circuit board (PCB) itself has twice the standard volume of copper, which is silver-plated.

This unique circuit delivers clean power to the nine sockets — each independently isolated to prevent cross-contamination of differential-mode mains noise. This is combined with IsoTek's KERP © (Kirchhoff's Equal Resistance Path) to ensure equal resistance and equal current delivery to all outlets. To this end, the internal wiring is also of the highest quality: a unique 2 mm2 design with silver-plated conductors of pure 6N oxygen-free copper, offering low resistance and high current capacity. An aerospace-grade fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) dielectric with very low dielectric losses is used to protect the conductors and form an ideal dielectric for contact with the conductor of the internal power supply system.

In addition, in the new V5 version surge protection has been increased to 45,000 A. This protects not only the circuit, but also your valuable connected equipment via IsoTek's unique sequential and repeatable protection system.

The V5 Corvus also has a System Link outlet, designed to connect several units together while maintaining a star reference, so that multiple wall sockets are not needed.

A mounting bracket is also included, so the product can easily be mounted behind your audio equipment rack if desired.

The internal wiring of IsoTek products offers a great deal of synergy with IsoTek's power cables, because commonality of design and material properties is maintained.
